Our Backyard – Aireys Inlet

With greater restrictions imposed on Victorians on an almost daily basis, it is surprising to see the number of sales taking place along the Great Ocean Road.

Our Anglesea, Lorne and Apollo Bay branches are all heading for record Julys for sales numbers. These areas have also had the benefit of good numbers of properties to offer to the market.

In our region of Aireys Inlet to Eastern View there has been little to offer to the buying public especially after the very active June and early July. I have been particularly surprised by the number of mid-week inspections we are having. Much of this seems to be fuelled by an increasing desire by Melbournians to escape the city lifestyle more so than ever before and in many cases of people I have spoken to, there is a desire to fast track their long terms plans to transition to the coastal lifestyle.

On a less positive note, the Greater Geelong area has now emerged as a front line in Victoria’s battle against coronavirus. With recent outbreaks in Colac also, it feels like our haven is being encircled to an extent. Pubs, restaurants and cafes will still be allowed to stay open in our area so hopefully the economy will come out of this crisis still largely intact.

Due to the increase in restrictions, we will cease holding Open For Viewings in the short term but all our properties are available for private inspection, strictly by pre-arranged appointment only.

Please reach out if you wish to inspect anything we have for sale.
