Aireys Inlet

Further down the coast and under a two hour jaunt from Melbourne Aireys inlet provides plenty to see do and buy on the West Coast. If Dave Dobyn took a look at Aireys inlet he might just start up his famed “Slice of Heaven” crooning because this is exactly what you get. 120Km out of Melbourne and Aireys is a go to destination. Marked by the famous Split Point Light House what seems an age away quickly looms larger than life. You can tour the building or just make use of the amazing views around the area.

The Best Surf Located
You can surf at Aireys inlet but literally around the corner is the famed Fairhaven beach. Fairhaven is a clear watered, long stretch of coast that, on the right day, will have any surfer ditching work and throwing on the neoprene to get wet!

Locals Tip.
For one of the best dining experiences on the coast, you must try A La Grecque located on the Great Ocean Road. For a more relaxed environment, perhaps the Aireys Pub across the road with its very own brewery and for a breakfast or lunch stop with a difference, the Lighthouse Tearooms underneath the iconic Spilt Point Lighthouse.

School
Aireys Inlet does have a primary school and it prides itself on making meaningful connections with their surroundings. From bush to coast the school looks at education outside of the four walls.
