I am sure you are aware of the recent infrastructure road improvements between Geelong and Colac.  The road is double laned from Geelong to Winchelsea and it flows incredibly well.  Winch to Deans Marsh and then to Lorne is a scenic and easy drive.  Currently there are road works at Fairhaven SLSC as they construct the pedestrian underpass and again at North Lorne as they are re-sealing the road.

No better time to try the “back way” to Lorne if you, like me, can’t stand being banked up in traffic.
