There is never a dull moment in real estate on the coast and the past week has been no different. The buzz words of the past seven days have been “Mad Max’s home”. And for good reason, it poises the first opportunity for a Great Ocean Road residence to break through the $10 million barrier. The original home was built for the successful Geelong Civil Construction family, the Wellams. The residence gained its name and fame through the shooting of the original Mad Max movie as Mel Gibson’s “unique hideaway”. Of recent time Boost Juice founder Janine Allis has transferred the residence into a modern masterpiece that it is today. Having been involved in the sale of the residence on two previous occasions, one cannot speak highly enough of its unique location and what it offers. We wish the sellers luck and fingers crossed the first ten million-dollar sale for the coast is not too far away.
Demand here in Lorne across all sectors continues to be strong and whether it be one bedroom studio apartments under $300,000 or multi million dollar homes, anything within the Lorne town boundaries is attracting buyer interest.
Kind regards,
