| The heavens opened on Monday night along the Great Ocean Road with record breaking rains falling across the Otways.
Aireys Inlet recorded its wettest day in 28 years with a whopping 115.8mm recorded in the 24 hours since 9am Monday. I fielded a number of calls from property owners in the area asking me to check if their properties were ok. Thankfully every house I looked at was ok, except for my own which sustained some water damage with rain getting in through the front windows and Tanya’s house in Aireys which unexpectedly gained an indoor wading pool. Aireys Inlet was also abuzz this week with debate raging about the suitability of an act that was scheduled to appear at this year’s Love Winter in Aireys program.
