Covid hit a little too close to home for many of us this week with Anglesea being declared an exposure site and many locals scrambling to recall their movements between May 25 and 27. There was a collective sigh of relief on Friday when it was revealed the case in question was in fact a false positive.

For regional Victorians, travel restrictions and the five reasons to leave home were removed at 11.59 last night.

Unfortunately for our metro neighbours, restrictions remain in place for a while longer. We certainly look forward to the time when all restrictions are lifted and life can go back to as normal as possible for everyone.

What effect all this has on the local real estate market remains to be seen however it doesn’t seem to have impacted at all negatively on buyer sentiment in recent days. Our Aireys Inlet office sold two properties in the last seven days via zoom auctions.

723 Great Ocean Road, Eastern View was an off market sale and 11 Birralee Road, Fairhaven saw a spectacular result with the property selling for $240,000 above the asking price after a zoom auction with twelve participants.
