OUR BACKYARD – ANGLESEA

Another long weekend starts today with the Anzac Day long weekend and again it falls into the school holidays.

On Monday the country will wake to dawn services everywhere to commemorate the lives of all Australians killed in military operations. The past two years have been restricted due to Covid, but this year will be restriction free,

Anglesea’s service will commence at the Memorial Hall in McMillan Street at 9.50am. There will be a commemorative service, guest speaker and music, followed by refreshments in the Memorial gardens at the rear of the building. It will be hosted by the Anglesea RSL.

Annually there is a more informal service on the beach at Moggs Creek held by a small but dedicated group who sit and stand around a fire, cook a bbq and a consume a few warm drinks whilst listening to the service on a radio. If you are interested in a more casual service, then we look forward to seeing you there from 5am.

In real estate news, there was a strong reaction to the superb new listing at 22-24 Banool Road, Fairhaven with offers already being made. It will be Open For Viewing again on Sunday from midday. Also the new listing at 17 Chatswood Drive, Anglesea has had good activity with negotiations already underway as well.
