After a bustling Easter weekend and school holidays our local community has been left in shock after a fire in the early hours of Wednesday morning destroyed two of the towns oldest buildings along with extensive damage to a third, leaving a permanent change in the streetscape of the town. With a lengthy clean up and recovery operation of the site now ahead we acknowledge the fantastic and tireless work of our local CFA, emergency responders and supporting responding teams who managed to bring the blaze under control, which prevented the fire spreading to multiple other surrounding buildings. The town has shown fantastic resilience throughout the difficulties of past year and community spirit continues to be high as the town offers their support to the affected businesses in their recovery.
