This Balinese inspired beach house gives little away as to what lies behind the façade. Located in a private court position on around 650m2, opposite the community gardens and on the much sought after beach side of the Great Ocean Road.
The property has rear pedestrian and vehicular access via the laneway at the rear of the General Store, and there is access to a garage, perfect for a boat, trailer or the toys. This rear access also means literally everything is at your back doorstep....straight out the back gate for fresh sourdough at The General Store, coffee and French pastries at Le Comptoir, and drinks and tapas at the Gin Kitchen. Then just five minutes stroll to reach Aireys Pub and a short walk to Sandy Gully beach.
The house is single storey with two large bedrooms and a rear bunkroom or third bedroom. The kitchen is spacious with timber benchtops, plenty of storage and a dishwasher. The bathroom is a real feature and has a separate bath and shower. A large living/dining area has tiled floors and bamboo panelled walls, a wood heater, reverse cycle air conditioning and a day bed from which to enjoy the morning and midday sun. The Balinese theme throughout transports you to a different place and there is a lovely treed outlook from the living area. The front deck is also very private and is perfectly designed to capture morning and midday sun all year round.
Quite different from the majority of houses in the area, the position and ambience of his house deserve attention.
