Lorne – Market Round Up Those who have been following my blog regularly will be acutely aware of our ongoing belief that Lorne has never represented better value than right now and there continues to be example after example. There was at the weekend, another further testament to the strength of our forecasts. I had the pleasure to auction two properties over at Anglesea last weekend both of which were successful. The outstanding result of the day was the property at 94 Melba Parade which sold under the hammer for $1.91 million after being declared on the market at $1.7 million. The residence enjoyed a magnificent location being only 100 metres from the beach but being tucked in tea trees it had no ocean view. The 5 bedroom thirty year old holiday house sat on a flat level allotment of approximately 1,300 square metres and was an outstanding result for the Anglesea market. Results like these continue to reinforce the strength of our comment and the incredible buying opportunities that exist in Lorne.

Lorne – Weekly Report The Melbourne Cup has been run and won and the selling season is certainly underway with some great results from around the coast. Our Anglesea office had a record month in October and with two million dollars plus sales last weekend they are well on the way to record a second consecutive record month. On the local scene things have been a bit slower but our hard working team have continued to work hard with buyers to achieve results. A Cumberland apartment, a Kennett River allotment and a beautiful Dorman Street property rounded out the week. While interest continues to be competitive under a million dollars the Dorman Street result was a welcome sign albeit only our second transaction over a million dollars this financial year – but we can feel this changing! The results at Anglesea last weekend are a good indication that the confidence continues to migrate south.
