Lorne – Market Round Up
Hard to believe that this is the last weekend of Spring and Summer is up and underway as of Monday. The coastal real estate market has come out of the blocks well with some strong sales right along the Great Ocean Road corridor. The areas where competition for property has started to emerge has been Point Roadknight in Anglesea, Fairhaven and Eastern View and it’s fair to say that the movement has been gradually tracking south from the strengths of the Melbourne residential property market.
The first of December signals the start of the summer selling season and this year the residential offering in the Lorne market will be as diverse as any over the past decade and in our opinion likely to be a “launching pad” for the next positive phase in the Lorne property market.

Lorne – Weekly Report
The past seven days have been one of the more active weeks of the year with a selection of good results to share. Last Saturday the two Point Grey penthouse apartments (No. 17 & 18) were auctioned. It is a “shot in the arm” to the local market to report that both apartments have sold after successful marketing campaigns.
Also, contracted during the week was Lorne’s former Masonic Lodge Hall at 25 Smith Street, which was sold after an extended period on the market. While the residence at 1/15 Toorak Terrace was transacted after a short marketing campaign, this reinforces that results can be achieved in the short term when priced correctly.
We are confident that we can build on the interest we are experiencing as we close the door on Spring and confidently look forward to the Summer peak selling season.
