LORNE – HERE AND THERE

Caulfield Cup for many is the start of the Melbourne
Spring Racing Campaign and its fair to say that even the coast turns an
interest to the sounds of crashing hoofs. Whether it’s the horses or the fun
times that surround the campaign there is always plenty of interest on the coast.
Following tomorrows Caulfield races, the focus will shift to nearby … Continue Reading »

Our Backyard Anglesea & Torquay

Real Estate is an industry that is built on relationships, client service and honourable reputations. We reinforce to buyers all the time the importance of being transparent and clear with the brief, so that we can refer properties to meet the criteria.

A wonderful example of this took place this week with our Agent Ben Jackson, he recently listed 8/105 Great Ocean Road and then … Continue Reading »

Our Backyard – Aireys Inlet

So the Tigers are premiers again after also taking the silverware in 2017. With a relatively young list it may not be the last premiership for this group and many are talking of a ‘Tigers dynasty’. Unfortunately the game was a flop as a spectacle with little resistance being provided by GWS who looked totally overawed by the occasion…. Continue Reading »

Our Backyard – Apollo Bay

Good afternoon Apollo Bay,

What a great week its been here in the bay and how fabulous to
see so many visitors and locals enjoying the ‘100 Years of The Great Ocean
Road’ art & cinema installations along the foreshore. Its also been great
to see the number of families out and about enjoying the Spring Weather for the
school holidays and making the most of the sunshine as … Continue Reading »

Our Backyard – Lorne

My working day this morning started at the same early hour just before day break in a space overlooking the Mooloolaba Surf Club. As I put fingers to the keyboard the early morning temperature hovered around a pleasant 17°, at the same time I was intrigued to view that the Lorne temperature was 20° with a mercury tipped to rise to 24. It’s a great time in Lorne … Continue Reading »

Our Backyard Anglesea & Torquay

Bank interest rates & savings accounts have been under
the spot light this week, specifically with them being so low it’s hardly worth
having cash in the account! With very little return on savings, older generations
and pensioners in particular are complaining about how they can  generate a return on their investment.

The Reserve
Bank of Australia have made comment; saying an ageing population is actually partly to
blame … Continue Reading »

NO LIMITS FOR BUOYANT APOLLO BAY MARKET
This unique property has sold north of $1.4 Million, combine this with a further recent sale of a residential home at $1,215,000.

Given the shortage of coastal homes available for sale between Anglesea and Lorne in the current market, Apollo Bay is expecting another bumper sales year ahead. With a range of buyers expressing a strong interest … Continue Reading »

Our Backyard – Aireys Inlet

Spring is almost upon us.

Springs brings longer days, more sun, AFL finals and hopefully
more real estate listings hitting the market to coincide with more buyers
thinking about purchasing a coastal property.

Real estate listings remain tight but please see below for a
sneak peak of a sensational vacant acre lot in Aireys Inlet, available for sale
now and due to hit the market in … Continue Reading »

LORNE – HERE AND THERE

A major celebration is coming our way as preparations are on track for the grand celebration of the Great Ocean Roads 100th Year. The famous road is the world’s largest war memorial having been built by WW1 service men and 2019 heralds the centenary of commencement of construction.

The centrepiece of the event series is a documentary … Continue Reading »

Our Backyard Anglesea & Torquay

The last couple of weeks have really seen the commencement
of pre-spring Auctions in the Melbourne market, clearance rates were strong
with 75% compared to this time last year of 62%, however there were less
properties being auctioned with 452 compared with 651.

General feedback from the market from agents and buyers has
been that they are seeing less stock available, so competition is high and
attendances strong through … Continue Reading »
