Our beautiful township of Anglesea is experiencing a holiday period like no other this year as people travel to our coast in huge numbers. As I talk to our fellow Anglesea traders, they are saying that they are experiencing the busiest festive period and start to January with great levels of trade across all providers of services and products. Increased visitor numbers are no surprise to me as people are looking to escape the city which for a large part of 2020 they were confined.  Anglesea provides a very easy 90 minute drive from Melbourne and offers everything a holiday or day tripper could possibly need in world class beaches, brilliant hinterland activities such as hiking and mountain bilking topped off with first class dining and shopping. Anglesea’s unique position also allows easy access to townships such as Aireys, Lorne and Forrest to our west or alternatively Torquay and the Bellarine Peninsula to our east.
