Since 2011 our town has had a steady population growth from 1,094 people reported in the data collected during the 2011 census to an increase of 1,618 by the 2016 census, showing a population growth of 47.9% in the area during that time. And in great news for property owners and those looking to invest, with this increase, the median house price also experienced a steady incline from $455,000 in March 2016 to $584,500 in March 2019, a 24.91% increase. CoreLogic data indicates that the predominant age group in Apollo Bay is 60-69 years with households in Apollo Bay being primarily childless couples, most of whom are likely to be repaying $1,800-$2,399 per month on mortgage repayments and in general, people in Apollo Bay work in a laborer occupation.
