LORNE – HERE AND THERE

A lot has changed in real estate through the years and from my very first sale of a block of land in Kennett River where 10% deposit was in the form of seventeen $20 notes and one $10 note, to the way real estate is viewed today. I recently had a virtual inspection of a Lorne apartment which effectively had three “hubs” of family members, all in different locations, doing a zoom virtual inspection of the residence. The outcomes confirmed the purchaser interest in the property as we go to contract. This is the third property over the last month that we have sold where the purchaser is yet to set foot in the residence. Amazing how things have changed – Inspections online, contracts electronically transferred, deposit funds electronically transferred and a transfer of title and funds on settlement also done the same way!

As you’ve probably gathered the coastal leisure market has continued with strength with the standout performance coming from our Apollo Bay office with a sale a day for the past week – all great signs for the months ahead.
