OUR BACKYARD – LORNE

Through the week Lorne was lucky to witness a spectacular fly over from the Australian Airforce Roulettes along with Korean Air Force Black Eagles, which included a friendship formation of up to 15 aircraft flying over Louttit Bay.

With a new season ending and a fresh one beginning we see the conclusion of the Lorne Cricket season which saw a great mix of local talent, ranging from a broad range of ages.

The Lorne Dolphins are back out on Stribling Reserve with the footy oval and netball court fielding eager participants ready for a great 2023 season. Tonight, sees a practice match V’s Queenscliff kicking off under lights, 6.00pm at Stribling Reserve.

It is always great to see and welcome the continued involvement from our part time locals taking to the field when families are in town, whether it be as a player, umpire, volunteer, or supporter of our great club!

Should you or a family member wish to be involved in the Lorne Football Netball Club players are still required in several age groups, umpires always required to fill a few spots and volunteers to assist in many of the weekly roles, we always welcome a friendly face, a great way to become involved in the Lorne community – please give me a call for more information.
