‘Lorne – Market Round up’. The Melbourne residential house market is one of the best indicators and forward forecasting tools that we on the coast and in leisure markets within two hours of the city rely on heavily in predicting future trends. If the current market conditions continue through the winter months and gather further momentum following the September election and into spring, the summer period of 2013/14 is shaping up to better than the one just passed.

With the Australian dollar losing considerable ground over the past month and the echoes’ of rising employment amidst the Ford and Target Geelong “stand downs” there still remains an air of uncertainty that needs to be overcome.

‘Lorne – Weekly report’. The Queens Birthday long weekend has come and gone and with significant crowd numbers continuing to enjoy Lorne and the coast, our markets have shown ongoing positive signs and results for coastal property that represents good value to discerning purchasers.

The sale of 24 Toorak Terrace at just under $1.3m was a solid outcome on the back of the two sales just over a million dollars at 15 George Street and 13 Hazel Street becoming unconditional.

The Lorne Dolphins suffered their first defeat at the hands of Colac Imperials on Saturday last and with the unfortunate loss of the four points from their first round match against Apollo Bay now have to ensure a strong second half of the year to guarantee a top three finish.

This week our netballers and footballers take on Irrewarra Beeac in an important match for the club. If you’re in Lorne get up to the Stribling Reserve to show your support.
