‘Lorne – Market Round up’. RP data have released an interesting article on “why aren’t dwelling values increasing at the same pace as the last growth cycle”, comparing the growth after the Global Financial Crisis in 2009 as opposed to the period post June 30 2012 when there were positive signs returning to the market. The lower rate of capital gains over

the most recent thirteen month period comes at a time when vendors are still discounting their asking prices to a greater extent; over the past 12 months the level of vendor discounting has averaged 6.7% compared with 6.2% rate of discounting over the same period of the previous growth cycle. Clearly vendors are discounting their price expectations to a greater extent currently than they were at the same time in the previous cycle. ‘Lorne – Weekly report’. This week our hearts have gone out to the Tutungi (Tully) family as on Tuesday it was announced that as a result of horrific spinal injuries suffered by Casey three weeks ago that he is now a quadriplegic. This tragic announcement was made in the most difficult of circumstances by his father Chris at a press conference at the Austin Hospital this week. For those that have not been aware of the outcome I have attached a link to the news item that appeared on channel 7 on Tuesday night. http://goo.gl/6GHE A fund has been set up for Casey which is the “Casey Tutungi Future Fund” and we are hoping that significant contributions assist to enable Casey to meet the demands of what is going to be an extremely long and expensive medical process. In my role as Committee for Lorne President, I with other community members have been heavily involved with many meetings, committees and discussions to help co-ordinate future fund raising activities and functions over the coming weeks. It is important that we work together and combine our resources to maximize all of the generous offers of support we are getting. www.caseytutungi.com Open Houses Saturday 13th 12.00 – 12.30 52A Dorman Street Lorne Sunday 14th 12.00 – 12.30 50B Smith Street Lorne ‘Lorne – You must have a look at this’.
