OUR BACKYARD – ANGLESEA

We’re proud to once again sponsor the Anglesea Bowling Club Twilight League, which kicked off last night under perfect weather and with a real buzz in the air.

This year, we’ve chosen Anglesea Foodlink as the recipient of all proceeds from the weekly raffle. The cost-of-living crisis has touched so many, and sadly, our own community hasn’t been exempt from these pressures. Right now, 16 local households are receiving Foodlink’s support — from families with young children and teenagers with big appetites to single residents and those unwell or struggling to keep up with rising rents and rates.

Every fortnight, Foodlink volunteers deliver food parcels filled with essentials like pasta, rice, coffee, tea, shampoo, soap, and even dog food. They also include food vouchers redeemable at local businesses such as IGA, Stabby’s Butcher, and Anglesea Fruits. Increasingly, emergency packages are being prepared for families in urgent need.

Foodlink operates without government funding, relying entirely on local generosity — every donation, every item placed in the IGA collection box, and every gift under the Community House giving tree at Christmas matters. Around twenty volunteers quietly keep it all going, packing and delivering parcels and responding to calls for help. Their dedication is a reminder of the genuine care that makes Anglesea and Aireys Inlet so special.

If you’re in a position to contribute, an extra item in the IGA collection box will be gratefully received. Together, we can make sure no one in our community goes without.

An off-market opportunity is 33 Belton Street, Anglesea. If you’re seeking elevated treetop views with a stunning outlook to Point Addis, this one is must-see. Picture-perfect and framed by glass, it features open plan living, generous proportions, and sits proudly on 1089sqm (approx.) with a grassed yard and flexible spaces to enjoy. Exceptionally well-priced at $1,350,000.

Keep a look out for 26 Parker Street, Anglesea, coming soon to market— recently updated, immaculately presented, and sold as a walk-in, walk-out opportunity. This charming split-level beach house offers effortless coastal living just moments from the main beach, Surf Club, and Anglesea’s café scene. Timber floorboards, abundant natural light, and a seamless flow to a north-facing deck make it ideal for relaxed entertaining amongst the treetops. With three bedrooms, stylishly updated bathrooms, and a thoughtful layout designed for easy living, it truly captures the essence of seaside life

Call me today for more information or to arrange a private inspection — opportunities like this are not to be missed.

Plenty of great Open homes across Anglesea this Melbourne Cup weekend – I look forward to seeing you on the coast!
