30th August 2019
Spring is almost upon us.
Springs brings longer days, more sun, AFL finals and hopefully more real estate listings hitting the market to coincide with more buyers thinking about purchasing a coastal property.
Real estate listings remain tight but please see below for a sneak peak of a sensational vacant acre lot in Aireys Inlet, available for sale now and due to hit the market in coming weeks.
It’s also nearing the time of year for the Wiggle Amy’s Gran Fondo, held over the weekend of the 14th and 15th of September. Attracting more than 5000 bike riders the event is held in memory of Amy Gillett who tragically lost her life in a training ride in 2005 when hit by a car.
The Amy Gillett foundation aims to reduce the incidence of death and injury of all bike riders through safety awareness and education with a mission of safe cycling for all Australians and a vision of zero bicycle rider fatalities.
We will notify you about road closures closer to the time or for more information about how to enter please visit www.amysgranfondo.org.au.
In Colac and District Football League action, Lorne seniors defeated South Colac on Saturday to earn a week off and go straight through to the Grand Final. The Great Ocean Road family was well represented with two Hollmers featuring in the goal kickers and former club great and Great Ocean Road Real Estate director Michael Coutt’s son Oscar, named Lorne’s best player on the day.
In the Bellarine Football League, traditional rivals Anglesea and Torquay play off in a semi-final at Portarlington Recreation Reserve on Sunday from 2pm. Sure to be a classic encounter.
